Network Dutch Studies for Dutch as a Foreign Language teachers and researchers

About us

Network of International Dutch Studies in Asia (NINA) is a dynamic network dedicated to promoting and collaborating in the field of Dutch Studies in Asia. Founded on May 1, 2025, NINA brings together teachers, researchers, and students engaged with the Dutch language, literature, and culture.

Worldwide, the Taalunie supports more than twenty networks for Dutch. In Asia, a regional network was still missing – until now.

The Taalunie supports more than twenty international, national, and thematic networks for Dutch throughout the world. A regional network for teachers of Dutch and Dutch Studies in Asia was still missing. That has changed this year. On February 27, some forty Dutch studies scholars working in Asia attended the inaugural celebration of the Network for International Dutch Studies in Asia (NINA).

Global

Online journal for language and literature. The Global Dutch Studies section aims to highlight this international and diverse part of our field: education provided outside the language area, research projects, the diverse career paths of international Dutch scholars, the work of translators and cultural mediators, and so on.
